43 days in.....

Hello all

This is the first day of week seven. I have a provisional end date of the 28 October so i hope I can make that. I thought I might be running out of time a week or so ago but I think I have caught up enough to be able to finish in that time.

I am in Plymouth today. Back in Devon after four weeks walking round the cornish coast. another significant point on the walk. That makes it 410 miles completed. In all Cornwall was stunning, challenging, remote in places but still bustling in others. It made a big impression on me and I will be back. Strange to think that apart from Bude I had never been here before.

I never seem to be able to go away for any length of time of not lose anything.

A list of things I have lost

one walking pole
two hats
one shower gel
one battery
two pens
one national truat volunteers card
one sock
two headphone ear pieces
some cash (i think)

one thing that i broke

a tent on the first day

some more people to thank

victor at treloan caravan and camping park.
alicia at the gallen treath guesthouse in porthallo
everyone who i met at the blue peter pub in polperro. i've got a blue peter badge.
my brother and parents for keeping in the black and able to complete the walk (i hope)
everybody for keeping touch via text
those who have sponspored me on route

off the wembury today and then bigbury tomorrow. As I did the stage from Bigbury to Salcombe in the summer I have decided to miss that stage out this time. A shame but my conscience is clear. I will have completed the whole walk.

hope all is well with you

Dave

wow - 43 days - well done Dave. Sounds like the walk has been really good so far. Hope it's not too wet - it's raining down in Brighton today but not sure what the weather is like in Cornwall.
Keep it up and take care of yourself!
